Fund raising and donations

As Paws n Claws is run entirely by volunteers, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help us fund the work of the rescue. Many of the animals that come into our care have suffered abuse and neglect and often require expensive veterinary treatment.

Some require long term treatment and Paws n Claws need to have the funds available to commit to the treatment.

Being a voluntary organisation, funds have to be raised through donations and fundraising activities. At present the donations we received are barely sufficient, we need to raise additional funds to develop our work further. All monies raised are used to rescue and re-home/rehabilitate unwanted animals.

No salary is taken nor profit made by any member of the rescue. We often raise modest sums through raffles, car boot sales and fundraising charity events. If anyone would like to help please get in touch.

Fostering

If you cannot commit to giving a permanent home to an animal but would still like to help us in some way, maybe fostering is the thing for you!

Foster carer's are very much needed to care for our dogs in a home environment while their new homes are prospective owners are home checked, or whilst a new home is found.

During this time the dog can be assessed and relevant information can be used to help decide on the most suitable placement. The information can also be provided to the new owner to help them adjust and prepare for their new addition to the family.

Fostering can be very satisfying, as your experience, insight and input are extremely important in the finding the best and most suitable home for the animal in your care.
